We made a stopover at West Middlesex while traveling from Northern Jersey to Chicago. WM is right in the middle. This diner was conveniently located near our hotel. It is a cozy place in a country setting. We got there at around 8:30 pm and diner was not very busy. The service was good and food came fast. Quality of food is acceptable and we consider it really good value in comparison with what we would have to pay in New Jersey.

Great place if you're on a budget. Three large pancakes were something like $2.50. Food and service were fine. No complaints!

I love a good diner breakfast this did not disappoint. The service was great from the hostess to the cashier. The coffee is good and your cup is never empty. The food came quickly and the waitress was very nice. The eggs tasted fresh and the home fries were fresh potatoes. I will go back for sure.

Awesome diner if you love Banquet frozen dinners. Hard to go wrong with breakfast but they manage to with overcooked eggs and sickenly sweet pancakes. Service is either okay or seriously horrible, no way to predict. I live very close and avoid it like the plague.

My girlfriend and I dined at the Middlesex Diner of 9/30/14 for dinner. She had the homemade cavitelli (pasta) in a tomato sauce. The pasta was properly prepared and was very good. The salad was okay but nothing special and came with bread which was good. She had apple pie for dessert which was good. I had a boneless chicken breast with a baked potato and string beans. The chicken portion was rather small but was good. The potato was excellent. The string beans were way over cooked. I had a slice of cheese cake which was okay, but very small. My dinner also came with a salad which again was nothing special. We dined again on 10/5/14 for dinner. We both had a special, a stuffed chicken breast, which was very good. I had a baked potato and string beans. My girl friend had mashed potatoes which were instant, but were okay, and also came with string beans. She had french silk pie for dessert which was good. Lastly, I should mention that our waitress was doing some floor sweeping while we were there, and she DID NOT wash her hands after using the broom!

I've eaten at the Middlesex Diner for years and I've always had good experiences here. They have decent greasy spoon style food, I think most of it is home made, and it's inexpensive. The service is consistently good, even when they're busy and there is only one waitress on duty like this last Tuesday night. It's a great diner. Good food, inexpensive, and good service.

Now, I don't expect too much out of a greasy spoon. Just give me a diner that can make decent eggs, a patty melt, that good crispy yet greasy-as-hell bacon, and a respectable cup of coffee and I'll be okay. Unfortunately the West Middlesex diner pretty much failed in all those aspects. I went twice during my stay in West Middlesex/Farrell, once out of necessity and again to give the place a second chance. What did I learn? If you have to go, go later at night. I'm not sure if the day-time cook was just overloaded or what (though the joint wasn't that busy) but the breakfast I got during normal breakfast hours was instantly forgettable. Eggs were overcooked, bacon undercooked, and the portions pretty small. I tried again on the way to the Pittsburgh airport one morning (around 4am) and it was a little better, but still nothing special. Now I grew up in the south, the land of the Waffle House - so I know what a middle-of-the-line diner should be. The best thing this diner has going on for it is that it's open 24-hours a day.

My grandfather ate breakfast here for over 20 years each morning. Every time I come back "home", aka West Middlesex, this place is a must on my list. Being that it is open 24 hours I do have alot of memories that involved many intoxicated people. My self included. It didn't matter. The service is kinda slow. But its kinda slow because they totally understaff the place in my opinion. These ladies work hard. The food has never once disappointed me.

We stopped in looking for a quick inexpensive diner style breakfast. My wife and I each went with the two egg breakfast special with toast and bacon and one order of home fries. The food came quick and was quite good for a meal and two cups of coffee that came to a total of ten dollars for the two of us. We wanted a quick, cheap diner breakfast and the Middlesex diner delivered. Food was decent, cheap, quick and our coffee cups stayed full. All I would expect from a diner in this price range.

Great food, prices and service! Open 24hrs. Great breakfast.and great variety. Great value compared to what we've paid in West Virginia and Florida for diner food. They also have 6 pack take out service from 11a-11p.

Have visited this diner twice. Both times greeted by friendly waitresses. Food is great but not the cheapest by any means. Clean restrooms. Waitress took the time to talk to us and answer our questions about the area. I would certainly come back

Good food. Good portions. Good price. Good service. You're average 'hometown diner'. Had a great breakfast & I'll definitely be back!

Breakfast is pretty good. Coffee too. Very cheap. But the second time I went they ignored us and then yelled at us when we told them we had been sitting with no menus or an acknowledgment for 15 minutes. Got up and walked out because horrible service just isn't worth it. Don't bother.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening..... I was going by the reviews, and it was great. Staff was nice, food was good. Price was cheap! Place looks small, but big once you are inside. It's not fancy inside, but who cares.... Left feeling good!
